Yellow River Retreat
Each Fall our men's ministry gets together with several other area churches for a camping reatreat
at Yellow River in Knox. Friday evening will be a time of fellowship with dinner and campfires.
This year we had three separate campfires set up and men were split into three groups. The men
rotated through all campfires every 15 minutes and there was a special message given at each one.
After all three campfires, the men met at the large campsite for a time of worship.
For those staying the night, there is spot on high ground for tents. Saturday morning there is
a breakfast and more time for fellowship. Several men then go floating down the yellow river for
a few hours after breakfast is finished.
Wild Game Dinner:
Every year, around March, the men get together for an evening of fellowship. Several men in the
group prepare special dinner items, many of which consist of what they have hunted over the year.
Some dishes in the past have been venison, turtle, buffalo, ostrich and many more exotic meats.
